Seattle Swank creates elevated luxury in historic Tudor renovation

Seattle, WA (May 12, 2026) — Seattle Swank, a leading luxury staging and interior design firm serving Seattle and the surrounding areas, has been featured in Architectural Digest. The featured project has been recognized for bringing out the beauty in a 1926 Tudor-style home, celebrating its centennial year.

The project was a joining of two creative minds. Known for thoughtful interior design and a signature approach to creating homes that feel elevated, inviting, and deeply personal, Seattle Swank founder Shannon Campbell led her team in working alongside the home’s owner, an experienced set designer and creative professional. Together, they fully redesigned the house, taking it from ugly duckling to classic beauty.

“The house is in a great neighborhood near the arboretum and had wonderful bones, but it was a bit of an ugly duckling,” Campbell told Architectural Digest. “The client has an incredible eye, and we both saw the potential in the house.”

Focusing on the home's original architecture, every detail was considered along with the homeowner's vision. Drawing on extensive experience in interior design and real estate, the Seattle Swank team stayed true to the home’s century-old history while introducing updated materials and refined designs to enhance functionality.

The result is a beautiful transformation, including restored architectural details, curated artwork, and custom styling. The space’s standout features now include barrel-vaulted ceilings, original woodwork details, a breakfast nook featuring Phillip Jeffries wallpaper, and a new fireplace that is an update from the two preexisting versions. It’s now elevated, refined, and functional, matching the owner's personality and lifestyle exactly.

Seattle Swank was originally founded as a luxury home staging company. Campbell spent years working in real estate and home marketing, where she realized that presentation directly shapes how homes are experienced and valued. The company has since evolved into a full-service interior design firm that offers space planning, material selection, furniture sourcing, styling, color consulting, art curation, and renovation guidance.

Campbell’s background in real estate continues to shape the company’s design philosophy. Seattle Swank combines interior design expertise with a strong understanding of how people experience and move through a home. Schedule a consultation today to learn more.

“In staging and design, we want to help people see what’s possible,” Campbell shared in the Architectural Digest feature. “A higher quality of life at home is attainable. Our goal is to get you a home that feels exactly the way you want.”

As with the Tudor home featured in the Architectural Digest article, Seattle Swank continues to provide interior design services to homeowners, developers, creatives, and real estate professionals throughout Seattle, creating interiors that honor history and local roots while balancing refined design with real-life functionality.
